Welcome to English III
You will have 8 vocabulary tests consisting
of 10 to 12 words each 9 weeks.
You will have 8 spelling tests consisting of
20 words and 5 review words each
9 weeks.
Everyone will be responsible for keeping up
with a portfolio that will be graded each
9 weeks.
You will read a total of 6 novels over the
course of the year.
You will take 3 novel quizzes over each
novel and you will take 1 novel test over
each novel. (Novel test counts 3 grades.)
During the course of the year we will also
be doing papers and projects that will be
included in the 9 weeks grade.
You will be doing a writing journal over the course of
each 9 weeks that will count as a test grade.
Homework will be added up over the course of each
9 weeks and will be counted as a test grade.
You will receive a daily average which will consist of
having your book, paper and pen every day, as well as,
being on time for class and staying awake.
