I graduated from ETSU in 1978 and I came to work at the City School that
fall. I have taught for 31 years. I have taught grades 2, 3, 5, and 6. I
enjoy my time in the classroom and have found the administration, board
members, parents, students, and community to be supportive. I received my
masters in 1988. I am married to Glen Brooks and we live on a farm in St.
Clair. I have two grown daughters, Casey and Sammie Jo. I have a
granddaughter, Gema, and a grandson, Colten. My only hobby at the present is
horseback riding.
My goal for students is to make their time in 6 grade meaningful and
enjoyable. I want them to understand why their learning is important and
how it can be used in a happy, interesting,and non-threatening way.
