About The Teacher
I grew up in Rogersville and attended Rogersville City School, Hawkins Elementary, and Rogersville High School. I graduated from Rogersville High School in 1976. I attended WSCC and ETSU to receive my teaching degrees. I began teaching at Rogersville City School in 1980. I enjoy teaching first grade because the children make everyday fun and interesting. Each day is a new day with children at this age. Thank you for such a good class.

Mission
The mission for the class is for students to respect self, others, community and environment. The students should enjoy coming to school and be exposed to various teaching methods in order to help them learn. We should remember that we are all unique and learn in different ways. The students should become confident in their abilities and their achievements. I hope to instill within the students that learning is a lifelong process.
