This week we will be talking about the Pilgrims and Thanksgiving. On Friday,
for Show ‘n Tell, please only send something about this subject.

Next week is only a two day week. Wednesday will begin our Thanksgiving
holidays.

This is National Children’s Book Week. Today was “hat day” for the
Kindergarten children. We had a nice variety of hats!
Here is the schedule for the rest of the week. (Of course, this is
optional.)

Tuesday, Nov. 17: Sock It to Me with a Good Book-
Children wear crazy socks or one of a kind on each foot.
Wednesday, Nov. 18: Sweat It Out with a Good Book-
Children wear sweatshirts.
Thursday, Nov. 19: Brighten the Day with a Good Book- children wear
sunglasses.
Friday, Nov.20: Reading is Beary Fun- children bring teddy bears or other
stuffed animals.

For today’s homework, I am sending home the “book”, “I Like My Family”. The
words in this book are: I like my see At this time,
your child should be able to recognize and read these four words. If not,
please continue to review these words with your child, having them spell them
verbally and write them. You can make up sentences and leave one of these
words out and have them read the sentence and fill in the missing word.
Ex. ____like my cat. I see ____ dog. I ______my dog.
You can draw a picture to represent a word. We call that picture a rebus.

We have started counting to 100 by 10’s and 5’s. This is skill that can be
done while in the car. The children had fun when we did this the other
day. It was a ‘fun and quick’ way to get to 100.

Sooner than we think, Christmas will be here! FYI-we do not exchange gifts
in Kindergarten.

Thanks for all you do to help your child.
