HOMEWORK It is of greatest importance to work on these words with your
child. We are working on sounding out three letter words- CVC/(consonant-
vowel-consonant) i.e. cat man ran hat etc.
Theme 2 words are: I see
Theme 3: my like
Theme 4: a to at bat hat Nat sat mat rat vat cat
(the ‘at’ family)
Theme 5: and go Nan ran Nat Pat van fan (‘at’ and ‘an’
family)
As a suggestion, make flash cards with 3x5 index cards and practice 2 or 3
words a night, letting your child spell them out loud to you as they point
to each letter and then let them practice writing the word. Also, use the
word in a sentence(s). We are working on these here at school and
PLEASE, I ask that you work on them at home. Thanks so much.
