Our field trip to the pumpkin patch at Davidson Farm in Carters Valley will
be Thursday, October 29th. We will be taking two buses and leaving the
school sometime between 8:45 and 9:00 a.m. The children are to bring a bag
or lunch box lunch with plenty to drink and extra for snack. We plan to eat
at the Rogersville City Park and spend the afternoon playing on the
equipment. Parents may join us at any time for this fun event. This is the
first bus ride for some of our students. I will be teaching proper bus
behavior and safety rules involved with riding a bus. The children get to
select a pumpkin from the patch at the farm. If there is a parent with trunk
space to bring these back to school for us please let me know. Our show and
tell on Friday is something about spiders and bats. We do not do Halloween
as a unit of study and we do not bring or wear our costumes to school. I
hope all of the children enjoy a safe evening of "tick or treating".
