Week of November 16-20, 2009
*Our class is very grateful to Mr. Ronald Hughes, Hunter’s “Poppy”, who came
in on Veteran’s Day and brought Hunter’s dad’s Marine uniform to show our
class. Hunter’s dad, Dale, served in Bosnia. Mr. Hughes also told about his
own service in Vietnam. Connor and Grace also brought in really neat military
photos or items to share with our class. We enjoyed seeing all the items, and
we are so thankful for the service of all our veterans!
*Thanks to everyone who ordered from our book order. We earn free books for
our classroom each time we place an order.
*Your child should have brought home a separate note about Children’s Book
Week, which is this week. The note outlined activities that our class will
participate in this week. If you don’t recall seeing the letter, it is also
posted on the bottom portion of the ‘Announcements’ page on our class
webpage, and I am listing informational items on the “homework” portion of
this note as well.
* The family project turkeys are awesome! I am amazed by all the creative
ideas!
*Yearbook deposits or payments are being accepted from now until November
24th. Your child should have brought home a separate envelope with details.
