Week of January 4-8, 2010
*Welcome back to school! I hope you enjoyed the time off with your family.
* I want to brag on how well-behaved our students were on the field trip to
Wasabi’s right before the break. The bus driver and the restaurant staff
commented on how mannerly and well-behaved they were. They represented RCS
very well, and I was so proud of them!
*December 20 book sheets are due any day this week.
*The end of the 9 weeks grading period ends on Friday.
*Weather –related schedule changes will be announced on WRGS, WCYB TV-5, and
on www.rcschool.net. Also, the text/call notification system that many of you
signed up for at the beginning of the year will be utilized. Please make sure
that your child has an idea what to do BEFORE we encounter any weather-
related changes. If we are already at school, an early dismissal is managed
chaos. It helps greatly if your child already knows what “the plan” is. RCS
does an excellent job of managing early dismissals, and that is in large part
to organized parents who have a plan in place.
