I have been teaching at Rogersville City School since
1992. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education, and a
master's degree in reading education. I have taught first grade and second
grade while at RCS, and I also taught remedial reading classes at the
college level for several years. I previously co-sponsored our school's
Junior Beta Club for many years, and I am the current president of the
Rogersville Education Association. I am married to David Testerman. We have
a son, Andrew, who is an eighth grade student at RCS, and a
daughter,Caroline, who is a third grade student at RCS. I am an active
member of Rogersville Presbyterian Church, where I teach the third,
fourth, and fifth grade Sunday School class. I enjoy running (I completed my
fourth half-marathon in March, and plan to run a full marathon in April!),
reading, and going places with my family.
My mission for our class is to teach my students all
that I can, and to make certain that they actively enjoy learning
and the overall school experience. I believe that all students
learn, although the ways in which they learn may be different for
each and every child. It is my mission and responsibility to help
each child in my classroom achieve his or her highest potential. I
sincerely want my students to enjoy school and to learn new things,
but most importantly to know that they are loved and treasured.
