What are some classroom guidelines reguarding food in general?

Food cannot be used as a reward for good behavior- try to use other non-food
ways to reward the students
Snack times are allowed in class as long as they are healthful snacks
according to the guidelines, pre-packaged, or made in class.
I know that sometimes food items are used to discuss certain cultures etc,
and this is great as long as the food items are not prepared at home, but
the ingredients brought in and prepared in class.
No homemade items. All food has to be pre-packaged by the company, or the
ingredients brought in to class and prepared there.
Pre-packaged items must follow the guidelines of the Vending list as far as
size and quantity (basically- small individual packages are what will be
acceptable).
No high sugar items- go with low calorie, low fat, whole wheat/grain, 100%
fruit juice.
Sugar Free items
Remember......We can have FUN and be Healthy all at the same time!!!!!! Our
