This will be my 12th year teaching at Rogersville City School and I LOVE
being here! Since being employed at the City School, I have taught special
education, enrichment, Title 1 Reading, and fourth grade. I have been a
Tennesseean for over 15 years now! Previously I taught Kindergarten in New
Jersey.
I am married to Michael, and we are the proud parents of Pooh-Bear, a Severe
Macaw, and Mitzi, the cat.
I love to travel! I'm an avid birder. Most of my travels take me to places
to see birds I can't find in Tennessee. My 2009 summer birding adventures
have taken me to Mount Rainier, Olympic National Park, Victoria, British
Columbia, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I enjoy reading nonfiction
and scrapbooking. I play at gardening and love taking photographs! I'm sure
you'll see a few during the year!
Everyone who walks through the classroom door is valued as a member of a
thriving, exciting learning community. Each child has the right to be safe,
nurtured, loved, and respected in the classroom setting.
My mission is for all students to become lifelong learners so that they
will become responsible, productive, and positive, independent citizens.
My goal is for every child to strive to be a positive caring individual, do
their personal best each day, try new challenges, and never give up, no
matter how hard a task might be.
Working together, we can accomplish great things!
