I am married to Wesley Trent for 3 years.
I am a graduate of Tusculum College, where I received a degree in
Special Education Modified and Comprehensive. At Tusculum I was President
of the Bonner Leader program, a Residential Assistant, Yearbook Editor, a
member of All Campus Events, Orientation Leader, and the 2004 Homecoming
Queen. I am very excited to be at Rogersville City School teaching, since
this is were I attended school.
My philosophy of education has developed through learning from other
teachers. I believe a good teacher should be a friend and mentor. Good
teachers are honest, caring, and considerate of student situations. I hope
that I am always flexiable, well organized, have knowledge of course
content, and of new technology for the classroom. I believe a good teacher
should have good communications skills. I plan to communicate regularly
with parents and teachers to help provide a proper education for my
students. I believe that students need to be in a safe environment, and
teachers need to ensure that there is safety among their classroom. I
believe that teachers are the key to the future, and it is in our hands to
guide students to be the best they can be. I hope that I can do all of
these things, and be the best teacher I can be to make certain that my
students have a chance at becoming productive citizens.
