Hi, my name is LaTasha Morrow. Currently, this is my tenth year teaching
elementary school. My background is in Kindergarten and First
Grade (of course I like first grade the best!). I have received a
Bachelor's Degree from Middle Tennesse State University in Interdisciplinary
Studies(Education) as well as my Master's Degree in Elementary Reading and
Literacy from Walden University. I am currently attending the Institute of
Children's Literature where my ultimate goal is to become an author of
children's books.
I am an only child and have lived in Tennessee my entire life. I have been
married to my wonderful husband Michael for nine years and we have one
beautiful daughter, Ymani, who will be turning two years old in September.
My hobbies are watching television, reading in my spare time, spending time
with my family and friends, and going to church.
My Mission for the class is that everyone will treat others the way they
want to be treated. If we all do this (beginning and ending with me), I
believe true and authentic learning can take place. Our class WILL be a
place where everyone feels significant and respected. My goal is to
encourage each child to reach their highest potential. I do this by
believing in their abilities and telling them these three simple words, "YES
YOU CAN"!
