Parent Information



PROGRESS REPORTS
Every 4 1/2 weeks of each 9 weeks grading period an evaluation of 
each student's academic progress will be sent home. Progress reports 
must be signed by a parent and returned to me. 

GRADING CODES (Grades 2-4)
A = 100-90 Excellent
B = 89-80 Above Average
C = 79-70 Average
D = 69-60 Low, But Passing
F = 59 and Below Not Passing
Grade Level Proficiency Codes
3 = Meets/ Exceeds Grade Leve Standards
2 = Progressing Towards Grade Level Standards
1 = Does Not Meet (Below) Grade Level Standards
/ = Indicates an area not assessed at this time

 ATTENDANCE
Whenever your child is absent from school, a note explaining the 
absence is expected when your child returns to school in order to 
receive an �excused� absence. (Only illness, a death in the family, 
and religious holidays are considered excused absences by the School 
Board). Otherwise, it will be recorded �unexcused�. Please use your 
discretion when sending your child sick to school. If they have a 
fever or a virus, please try to keep them at home. Make-up work will 
be given for only those who have an excused absence.* Only 9 days 
are allowed per year for absences.* If your child is tardy, a note 
explaining the tardiness will be needed   and your child will need 
to be signed in at the office before being   admitted to class. * If 
your child is to be dismissed early, please if possible send a   
note to the the classroom teacher. Your child will need to be   
signed out before they will be released to go home.

4th Grade Tips for Success 
 
1)You must learn your multiplication facts to 12 
2)Read each night for a minimum of 20 minutes 
3)Complete and turn in classwork and homework on time,everytime
