This is my 33rd year to teach . I have been at Snowden for 24
years. I have been married to my husband Jerry for 32 years. We have
two sons, Jay and Jeff. Jay is 31 years old , a graduate of the University
of Memphis,and is married to his wife, Andrea.They have a 2 month old son ,
named Jerry Lynn Harvey III. They call him Trace. It is our first grandchild.
Jeff is 24 years old, and a graduate of The University of Memphis. He and
his wife Joelle were married this past summer. We are a very blessed family.
Finally , I have 2 dogs. I am very much the animal lover.
Additionally, I am an avid sports fan. I love the U of M Tigers (football and
basketball) , and the Tennessee Titans. I am looking forward to another
wonderful year as a 3rd grade teacher at Snowden School. See you soon.
My mission for the class is to create an environment where learning is
the top priority. It is my belief that all children can learn. It just
happens in many different ways. Thus, that is how I approach my teaching.
Many different strategies are the means to a successful ending for all. My
goal is to prepare students to have a life long love of learning.
