Do you want to read a good book about school? Any book by Andrew Clements is a good story. Also, the Hank Zipzer books are very popular. Do you think all the good books are for girls? Read on.... Have you read the Animorphs? They are written by K. Applegate and are very popular with boys. Also, the Hardy boys are good mysteries. The Invention of Hugo Cabret is a beautiful book with amazing pictures that I highly recommend. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is very popular! Have you read the new Newbery Award winning book? Elijah of Buxton by Christopher Paul Curtis did not win the top award but was an Honor selection and it is really great. Come in and check it out! In Elijah of Buxton, Elijah is the first free-born child in Buxton, a Canadian community of escaped slaves, in 1860. With masterful storytelling, vibrant humor, and poignant insight into the realities of slavery and the meaning of freedom, Curtis takes readers on a journey that transforms a fra-gile 11-year-old boy into a courageous hero. If so, I have a new book for you. Chasing Vermeer is an interesting mystery chock full of codes and secrets. All kinds of info on the life of the Dutch painter Vermeer and also a writer named Charles Fort. Come in and see me if this interests you. Why not try one of the Geronimo Stilton books, pretty funny and lots of pictures! |
