I have been teaching for 21 years with Memphis City Schools. I graduated in
December of 1987 from University of Memphis, formally known as Memphis State
University. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Teaching from Union University
in August of 2004. I completed my Masters Plus 45 in December of 2006.
I enjoy working with children and being an encourager to all that are
placed in my care. I love coffee and sushi. I live in Cordova, Tennessee. I
also like to read in my spare time. I am active at my church as I serve with
the youth and I lead worship on Sunday mornings.
All children can learn and succeed is my mission for this class. I desire
to enlighten and encourage my students to be the best everyday. I expect them
to be good listeners and well-behaved students so we can accomplish many great
achievements in class. Not only do I desire to teach knowledge based
questions, I would like to expose children to higher level thinking in
application, problem solving, and analysis.
I know I play a pivotal part in your child's education as we see "Every
student, everyday, college bound" as voiced by our former superintendent of
Memphis City Schools, Dr. Carol Johnson.
