1. READING/LANGUAGE ARTS - Our story this week and Monday and Tuesday
is Pearl and Wagner. We're practicing on a play, The First Thanks-
giving, to be presented Friday in the library.
Vocabulary words to know: robot, wad, trash, electricity (energy
that makes light, heat, motion, or force)
High-frequency words to know: shoe, science, village, guess, won,
pretty, watch
Amazing words and meanings (for oral vocabulary):
1. construct - to build or put together
2. sidekick - a buddy, good friend, or partner
3. unique - the only one like it
4. contraption - something that is put together in a very odd way
5. foolproof - so simple and safe that anybody can use it
6. daydream - You are awake, but you are thinking of pleasant things
7. project - something you plan and then do
8. scrap - a tiny piece of something; leftovers
