Once a month at 9 AM, all students in grades Kindergarten through eighth grade practice writing.  My students are given a writing prompt and must complete the sentence or sentences.  They also must incorporate the skills we have learned, such as capitalization at the beginning of sentences, correct spacing between words, putting a period at the end, etc.  The papers are graded using a rubric.  Mr. Harrison announces the winners. they win a special treat for snack, and their writings are displayed on our tidbits board.
