WISH LIST
Please take the time to visit my wish list link. Any donation would be
greatly appreciated!!
ALL ABOUT ME TEE
In order for the students to learn more about each other, I have
purchased "All About Me Tees". Students are to fill in the information and
return to school within 2 weeks. The 'tees' will be posted in the hall for
two weeks. This will be a year long project. Look for more information when
it is your child's turn!
LYSOL RECEIPTS
Parents, I hope you took the time and read over the letter I sent home
pertaining to turning in receipts that have Lysol purchases on them. It is a
great way for our class to earn money towards books and other classroom
supplies. I personally have a receipt that has 5 Lysol purchases on it. I
only need 10 more to receive $50 worth of books. The more we turn in, the
more we get in return. Please help our class reach this goal. We have until
the end of January 2010.
PHONICS STORIES
Every Wednesday night, your child will have reading homework. He or she is to
read our weekly phonics story to you and you are to sign and return it to
school on Thursday. This is a great way for your child to practice reading!
KINDERGARTEN LEVELED READERS
Each week, students must read 2 leveled readers to me. I require students
to read to me so I can check for fluency, comprehension, sight word
recognition, and various other reading skills. We practice these stories
during our learning station rotations, however, some students need extra
practice. I have included a website on my "links" page that will allow you
to practice these stories with your child at home. Just click on the link,
then click on the correct reading story.
RECYCLE
We have a Yorkville Paper Bin located in the back of the school. If
possible, please discard ALL cardboard, magazines, papers, boxes, etc. into
the bin.
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
Please save all of your box tops off of General Mills products and send them
to school. This is a great, easy way for our school to earn money.
