PARENTS, if you want to see what your child has been doing in the Computer
Lab, go to http://riverdeep.gcssd.org/lms. Let your child put in his/her
username and password. This goes to "My Tasks" page, then click on the
Completed Assignments tab, and you will find everything they have done.
This has both their activities and tests with the scores.
Students may also go to the Exploration icon at the top of the "My Tasks"
page and investigate what may be coming up for them or look at anything in
either Language Arts or Math. Reports will go out every three weeks, trying
to stay with the week of the report card.

KINDERGARTEN PARENTS, most of the children have graduated from Visual
Discrimination and are on Successmaker Enterprise(from Pearson Learning)now.
On your parent reports from SuccessMaker, I try to circle the number of the
Current Course Level on each report (reading and math). The numbers will
look like "1.12" with the first number denoting the grade level and the second
number, the month of that grade level, making this number read "first grade,
first month". Some may look like "0.78", meaning "Kindergarten level, almost
eighth month". You also need to pay attention to what may be listed in the
"Areas of Difficulty" section, because you may be able to help your child with
what could be printed in this section.
You should begin to start seeing some Riverdeep reports now. It tells
you what activities on which your child has been working and the scores they
made on the associated test.

FIRST AND SECOND GRADE PARENTS, your students will receive about a 5-page
report. One page will be from Riverdeep, with all the activities and tests
they have done. Two pages will say CCC Program at the top; this is the
successmaker program. These two pages contain the daily scores of your
student on this program, unless they have happened to make below 65%, so
therefore, we did not write their score down. (Pearson tells us that the
student is learning if their grade is 65 or above.) The last two pages are
printed reports from Sucessmaker Enterprise itself. One is math, and one is
reading. I try to circle the number of the Current Course Level on each
report, or else write the equivalent on reading. The numbers will look like
"2.64", with the first number denoting the grade level and the second number,
the month of that grade level, making this number read "second grade, sixth
month". There may also be some comments under "Areas of Difficulty" that you
may help your child with.

THIRD, FOURTH, AND FIFTH GRADE PARENTS, your students will receive about a
3-page report. One page will be from Riverdeep with all the activities and
tests they have done. One page will say CCC Program at the top and will
contain their daily scores in math areas from Successmaker Enterprise, unless
they have happened to have made a grade below 65%. Students will stay in
certain strands of math this year until they have reached a certain level
(this paper will say when they have reached their goal in these strands).
Some students could have possibly completed two strands so far.
The other page is a report from the Sucessmaker Enterprise itself. I
usually circle the number of the Current Course Level on each report, because
that will be a true grade level in math. The numbers will look something
like "3.72", with the first number denoting the grade level and the second
number, the month of the grade level, making this number read "third
grade, seventh month". There may also be some Areas of Difficulty that have
been highlighted that you may help your child with.
