Welcome to our 4th Grade Class! My name is Mrs. Carissa Burkett. This is
my 11th year to teach the 4th grade. I am originally from Kenton, TN. I
attended Gibson County High School. I received my Bachelor of Science in
Education from Union University. After I began my teaching career, I went
back to school at Cumberland University and obtained my Master's Degree in
Education. I am the mother of two beautiful children! I am expecting my
third child. My children are 9 and 6. I love being a teacher and a mother! I
am very excited about this
school year!
My mission for this class is for them to do and be the best they can be all
year. I want them to know how special they all are and that they all
can be a success this year. I want to motivate and encourage every student
to reach his/her full potential. I want to make this year one of growth,
discovery, and significance for all my students. I look forward to a
productive and creative year with these students. They brighten my day,
every day. Life is full of opportunities. My mission is to prepare my
students for every opportunity that might arise now and in the future.
