- Hi, I'm Mr. Pigg and I am very pleased to have your 8th grade student in
my class. Hopefully they will find it interesting but informative. Our goal
this year is for 93% of our students to become proficient on the TCAP in all
subjects to include Science and History for the first time ever. This is
quite a challenge because in the past the emphasis has been in
Reading and Math only.
We will have classwork/homework Monday thru Thursday every week unless an
event is happening such as - home football/sports event or County Fair.
They will be notified normally at least three days in advance of a test.
Our greatest challenge will be controlling the classrooms, enabling the
teachers to instruct the students not to be referees in their personal lives
and between classmates.
I want school to be a fun place within a learning environment.
