Hi!  My name is Debbie Hill.  I have been teaching kindergarten for twelve
years.  Before teaching kindergarten, I worked as a production manager 
in a manufacturing facility.  I decided to change careers because I love 
working with small children.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business 
Management and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education.  I graduated with 
an EdS in Intructional Leadership in May of this year.

I have a big family.  My husband's name is Don.  I have 3 daughters: 
Candice, Casie and Casha and two step-daughters: Leah and Gretchen.  In 
addition, I have two son-in-laws, Ben and Terry.  I have two precious little 
granddaughters: Brylie and Emrie.  I have a horse named 
Mistletoe and two dogs, Sugar and Cappi.

I have many interests.  I like to swim, take long walks, ride bikes, hike, 
read, and travel.  I enjoy spending time with my family.  I love teaching 
small children.

Mission

I believe learning is a lifelong process.  It is characterized by constant 
development and change.  It is a process that starts early in a child's life 
and continues throughout adulthood.  I believe student learning should be 
the main focus in every classroom.

In order to reach all learners, I believe teachers should teach where the 
learners are.  Students learn in different ways and at different paces.  I 
believe instruction should be varied and materials utilized to best meet the 
individual needs of all students.  I think children should be provided with 
many opportunities to feel success at school.

I want my classroom to be a place where students are excited to be and where 
they want to learn.  If by chance you stop by Room 211, you will see 
children actively engaged in learning and enjoying the learning process.  
You will see children involved in hands-on learning, computer activities, 
movement, song, art projects, and that is just a small part of each day.  
Also, you will see a teacher who cares about each child in a special way.

My main goal is to do my part in preparing children for life in an 
everchanging world as well as to show them a small part of what the world has 
to offer them.  Afterall, children are the future.
