About The Teacher

I have been teaching for eleven years, three years in Memphis, five years in
Metro, and this is my third year in Wilson County. Prior to that I
attended college at UT Martin and the University of Memphis where I received
my B.S. in Elementary Education and my M.S. in Elementary Reading. I also
have an additional thirty graduate hours through Cumberland University. I
am a certified Reading Specialist.

I have been married for ten years, and my husband, Trey, is an attorney in
Hermitage. We have a 3 1/2 year old son, a 2 1/2 year old daughter, and are
expecting another daughter in September. We both grew up in this area, and
we love the community. We love to go to the zoo, Rainforest Cafe, and feed
the horses down the street from our house.

Teaching is a part of who I am. I love waking up each morning knowing I
have a chance to make a difference in a child’s life. It is my mission to
make the most of each precious day with your children, instill a love of
learning within them, teach them to believe in themselves, and help them
reach their highest potential each and every day.

I look forward to an exciting and productive year. I will contact you
frequently through notes, email and phone calls because you are the most
important people in your child’s life. Feel free to contact me by phone or
email with any questions or concerns you may have throughout the year.

Mission For The Class

It is my goal to instill a love of learning in the heart of our children,
help them reach their highest learning potential, and assist them in
discovering their best character traits.
