How can I help in the classroom?

There are several ways that parents can help in the classroom.  I need 
volunteers to help with the following things:
1.  grade papers
2.  hang student work in the hallway
3.  listen to children read
4.  help children with AR testing
5.  help with Friday assessments (phonics and sight words)
6.  help with special projects as they happen
7.  help with class parties
8.  filing papers

How can I help my child at home?

1.  Let your child complete all homework on his/her own and then go over it 
together.
 
2.  Listen to your child read books on their reading level and then discuss 
what the book was about.

3.  Read books a little above your child's reading level together and 
discuss them.

4.  Encourage reading whenever possible.
