About The Teacher
My name is Melissa Bunch and this is my third year teaching P.E. at Stoner Creek Elementary. I believe it is one of the best schools in Wilson County and Middle Tennessee. I am excited about the upcoming school year. I am originally from Dallas, Texas, but attended Panola College in Carthage, TX and Augusta State University in Augusta, GA. At Panola, I earned an Associate of Science degree in May of 1998. In December of 2001, I earned my Bachelor of Education in Health and Physical Education from Augusta State University. In December of 2005, I received my Master's in Education, Health and Physical Education from Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky. It was in Barbourville that I met my husband, Shannon Bunch. We were married in August of 2005, and at that time we moved to Nashville. Shannon is in the music industry, particularly gospel music, and travels the states singing and ministering. We recently had a little girl, Emme Blu, in January 2009. Life is busy!

Mission
My Goal for the Physical Education program is to engage your children in activities that they can carry with them for a lifetime of wellness. We will work on individual and team skills, as well as fitness goals. I have some great plans for your children! Some of the highlights of our year will be Wiffle Ball, Parachute Skills, our Annual Kickball Tournament, Speed Stacks, Square Dancing, Geo Mats and Field Day. Field Day will be held in May and is an all day event. Make plans now to be a part of this fun day and enjoy your child's day of excitement.
