About The Teacher
I was born and raised in Dickson County. I went to SBES for elementary school when my mom taught here. I graduated from high school in 2000, Tennessee Technological University in 2004 with my bachelors, and MTSU in 2007 with my Masters in Education. This is my third year teaching and I am excited to return to SBES as a teacher! I come from a family of teachers including my mom, grandmother, and sister. This is also my sister's third year teaching 2nd grade in Murfreesboro. Our classes will be pen pals throughout the year to practice letter writing skills and to make friends across the state. I have two wonderful dogs, Sydni and Sophie, who are my "children." I love to read, especially to children. I love to be outdoors. One of my favorite hobbies is photography. I will teach to the best of my ability all year. I will give your child 110% and expect the same from them. Not only will I be teaching your child many things, but I will also learn many things from your child too! One never stops learning and your child has so many things to teach me this year. I will do everything I can to help your child enjoy their learning experience. I also count on parents, grandparents, and all of those involved in your child's learning to do their part outside of the classroom to help the children succeed.
