I have been teaching for 26 years. I have taught all grades from
Kindergarten through Fourth grade. I have endorsements in Early Childhood
and Elementary education. I recently received an additional endorsement in
teaching English Language Learners (ELL).
I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Middle Tennessee State
University, and my ELL endorsement from Tennessee State University. I have
also been trained in Reading Recovery, Language !, and Schools for Thought.
I spent the first 25 years of my career at Cora Howe Elementary, but when my
program was changed I took the opportunity to move closer to home. This
year I am beginning a new adventure at Thomas A. Edison Elementary! I look
forward to getting to know the faculty, staff, parents, and students this
year.
My mission for the class is for each child to learn as much as they
possibly can. Using many evaluations I will access your child's
current level and take them as far as possible.
In order for this to happen, my discipline mission is for each child
to utilize self discipline as much as possible. Behavior that stops
the learning process will not be allowed.
