This is my 10th year teaching at UCHS and I absolutely love what I do. I am so lucky to share the
knowledge I have gathered over the years with the students of Unicoi County.
My favorite part about teaching German is seeing the students in action. I love to watch them use their
language skills on our exchange students and like it even more when they take the plunge and head to
Europe for a tour! I have had many students pursue German in college and in their careers. Knowing
that the things we learn together daily will be part of their future is a blessing!
Teaching U.S. History is a dream come true. I have always been fascinated by the concept of change
over time and hope to inspire students to develop an interest in the major events and characters of our
American past.
My mission is to educate the youth of Unicoi County in the culture, government, geography and
language of the major German-speaking countries of Europe.
My mission is to effectively prepare UCHS students for the AP US History Exam and give them the same
opportunities to learn United States History that they would have in a college level survey course.
