ORAL BOOK REPORT
Due Date: Monday, December 7
Powerpoint presentation (unless you have spoken to me with another
outstanding idea)
Minimum of 9 slides
It MUST include:
• Title of book and author
• Setting
• Characterization
• Hints as to what the plot is (but not the entire story!)
• Themes the author is trying to get across
• Questions at the end for the listener to answer if they decide to
read the book
• Slide background
It MAY include:
• Slide transitions
• Music
• Videos
• Photos
• Anything else you can come up with
You will be graded on:
• Your knowledge of the book (I can ask questions!)
• Your powerpoint – Did you include everything I asked for?
• Your oral presentation – Did you take it seriously? Were you
prepared?
