Most of the time,you will have about 20 minutes of science homework
each night. You should be checking over your homework when you first enter
the class. Your may find a mistake or improve and answer while attendance is
being taken.
Week 1..........
8/11/09 HW: Finish reading section 1 of Ch 1 and answer questions 1 -6 on
page 9. Use loose leaf paper.
8/12/09 HW: Finish reading section 2 of Ch 1 and on loose leaf paper answer
questions 1- 5 on pg 17. Read Section 3.
8/13/09 CW: Check Homework. Discuss Section 2 and review Questions. Review
Section 3.Complete Section 3 Questions in class then begin reading Section 4
HW: Finish reading section Section 4. Answer questions as previously
directed.
8/14/09 CW: See Video on Scientific Method, Discuss Section 4 Questions,
read and study Section 5.
HW: Answer questions 1 -7 for section 5.
Week 2 ..........
8/17/09 Discuss section 5 and its Questions. See video on Measurement. Take
TCAP Test Preparation Exercise on Pgs 40 and 41 for Quiz Grade. Review for
Test tomorrow.
8/18/09 CW: Ist half of period review anad study. 2nd half of period - Test
on Ch. 1. HW: Read Section 1 of Ch 2 and complete questions 1 - 5 on pg. 53
8/19/09 CW: Give back test. See video on Ch 2 Classification. HW:
Section 2 Read and Study and do questions 1 - 7.
8/20/09 CW: Demonstrate the proper preparation of Science Comp Book.
Discuss video and Section 1 of Ch 2
HW: Study Skills practice pg 60 and copy table into notes.
8/24/09 CW: Continue discussion of levels of classifiation. Finish video in
some classes. List in order and describe the levels of classification.
HW: Answer questions 1 - 11 on pg 62 as directed.
8/25/09 check homework, discuss domains, and Archaea and Eukarya. Complete
the TCAP lesson on pg 64-65.
