Mr. Barnette is a graduate of King College of Bristol, East Tennessee
State University of Johnson City, and did post graduate work at
Emory University in Atlanta. He has taught in the Bristol Tennessee School
System and in the gifted student program at Western Carolina University.
His hobbies include classical music,choral directing,history, and
astronomy.You might think that he gets enough of teaching, but at Church he
teaches an adult Bible class, and serves as a Commissioned Lay Pastor for
the Presbyterian Church USA.
He is married to the former Johnnie Kay Randolph, and has two sons and
four grandchildren. The Barnette home also boast many pets: twelve
cats(outside of course),and 4 dogs (two inside and two outside.)
