Policies

Textbook: Holt Science and Technology

General Science Curriculum: 
Physical Science, Life Science and Earth Science.

Course Content:
A. Appropriate chapters from Science textbooks
B. Science Lab:
   10% of six weeks grade
   Hands-on exploration of various Science concepts.
C. Science Projects:
   Science Projects will be done throughout the year and posted on teacher
   web page or discussed in lab.

Testing Procedures:
Chapter Tests: Multiple Choice, Matching, True/False, Short Discussion
Quizzes: Multiple Choice, Matching, True/False, Short Discussion

Grading Policy:           Grading Scale
Chapter Test 30%          93-100 = A
Quizzes      30%          85-92  = B
Assignments  30%          75-84  = C
Lab          10%          70-74  = D
             __           00-69  = F
             100%

Discipline Plan

I.  Be Prompt
    Be on time to school
    Respond promptly with papers, answers, and directions

II. Be Prepared
    Bring required materials (pencils, pen and paper)
    Bring your book to class everyday
    Do your best every day

III.Be Polite
    Follow directions the first time given
    Keep your hands and feet to yourself
    Participate in class
    Raise your hand to be recognized before speaking
    Use a respectfull tone of voice with the teacher and classmates
    Use respectfull language

The first violation of these rules will result in Documentation and a 
conference with student. Successive violations will result in a discipline 
referral to the office.
