Wednesday September 30 - Watch movie "Journey Beyond the Center of the
Earth". Students are to take notes on all material in movie that relates to
rocks and minerals. The movie mentions all three types of rock and gives
examples of each as well as common known minerals.
Thursday October 1 - Complete movie from Wednesday.
Friday October 2 - Discuss content of movie and check study guide to prepare
for chapter 14 test on Monday.

Tuesday October 6 - Chapter 14 Test rescheduled for Tuesday.
Wednesday October 7 - Begin chapter 15 doing a class activity with partners
dealing with Plate Techtonics "The 23rd Annual Consortium of Geologists"

Monday November 2 - Chapter 16 and 17 vocabulary words. Read chapters and
define words.
Tuesday November 3 - Friday November 6 > Students will create a song, jingle
or poem consisting of the vocabulary words from chapter 16 and 17. They may
use the lyrics from any song (as long as it is school appropriate)
Thursday November 5 - Vocabulary Quiz on chapters 16 and 17.
Friday November 6 - After presentation of song activity students will engage
in a review game consisting of a technology based format.
Monday November 9 - Watch 20 minute video about energy resources and write a
paper consisting of how the video related to earthquakes, volcanos, plate
techtonic and energy resources.
Tuesday November 10 - introduction to chapter 18 energy resources
Wednesday November 11 - Begin power point from webquest on link #42 on my
webpage
Thursday November 12 - Word search pertaining to chapter 18 vocabulary.
