Can I earn extra credit?

You can earn extra credit by doing any of the following 
activities that I 
have approved:
*Computer work
*Correct selected assignments for half credit back
*Approved projects
*Work assigned in class as extra credit assignments

Why do I have to show my work in my math if I can do it in my head?

Sometimes I really just need to see how you arrived at the 
solution.  Also, 
when we check an answer, if you missed it and you didn't show 
your work, 
it's hard to remember what you did to get your wrong answer.  
Showing your 
work can tell you exactly where you went wrong in your answer.

Why do we need homework?

Math is a learning process that takes practice to get right.  I 
will assign 
homework that reemphasizes the skills that we are learning or 
have 
previously learned in class.  Practicing skills helps change 
them from 
memorizing to true learning.  I will try to make assignments 
short and 
concise.  I will not usually make homework assignments on 
Fridays, but 
expect homework on most days Monday - Thursday.
