Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
Why is there so little homework?
We 'practice' in the classroom as much as possible. When academic work is done at home, sometimes there is too much confusion and aggravation to make it worthwhile. We'd prefer to avoid this as much as possible. Most homework will consist of preparing for tests.Back to Top

The Questor team policy is that students may go to the bathroom during class change. Students should put their books in their next class and check with the teacher that there is adequate time to go to the bathroom. There is typically enough time if the door is still propped open, unless the teacher has already begun class.Back to Top
How do students find out what their make-up work is?
Students are responsible for getting their make-up work. Any worksheets that were missed will have the student's name written on it and will be in the Make up box. The student should ask the teacher and check the website to make up quizzes or textbook assignments. The grade will be a zero until the work is completed and given to the teacher.Back to Top
How do students improve their grade?
Grades can be improved in several ways: 1.One of the best ways is to be in class and involved EVERY DAY! Math builds on itself like a story. Missing something can have negative consequences for a long time. Getting behind is a definite grade killer. 2.Active participation and 100% effort will make a HUGE difference. Do all of your work. Math skills are like basketball skills or baseball skills. You can be out of practice. The more you practice, the better, faster, and more accurate you will be. This will make it easier to learn new, harder things. You'll also remember it for longer and will perform better under pressure, such as on a quiz or test. 3.Check your answers as you do your work. If you get a question wrong, then go back and solve it until you get it right. Be sure you understand what your mistake was. 4.Always show your work. Organized work leads to organized thinking. Plus, if you get a question wrong, you can go back and see why. 5.And finally, chat less and think more!Back to Top
If a student chooses to continually disrupt class or not complete assignments, a conference will be scheduled with the student, contact parents, or refer them to the office for additional consequences.Back to Top
