I live in Elizabethton with my husband and two children. My husband is also
a teacher. He teaches Government and American History at Happy Valley
High School in Elizabethton. My children are ages 10 and 12.
Besides being an avid reader, I am also interested in technology and I am a
stained glass artist. I look forward to sharing my love of reading and
writing with all my students. I know that we will have a marvelous year of
sharing with and learning from each other!!

My goals are to empower my students to become strong independent readers and
writers, and to encourage and support the daily use of critical thinking
skills both in and out of the classroom.
