I have been teaching at Vance Middle School since August 1992. I earned my
Bachelor of Science degree from The University of VA at Wise and my Master's
degree from Virginia Tech. I played college tennis and college intramural
girl's flag football. I have taught reading, social studies, math, pre-
algebra and algebra section A. In my early years teaching, I had the
privilege of coaching THS girl's tennis. I am one of the Fellowship of
Christian Athletes sponsors. I enjoy teaching, tennis, and music. I sing
in the Sounds of Praise Choir at my church and I play the piano for weddings
from time to time. Collecting "I Love Lucy," "The Andy Griffith
Show," "Laverne and Shirley," and "The Carol Burnett Show" merchandise is an
on-going hobby for me. I love to laugh!! I love to work in my garden at
home. I have a dog named Lucy. My husband is a pastor and I have two
