8-10-09 The following is your first major project. It is due August 18th.

All about Me Museum

Your teachers and classmates would love to get to know you better. What
better way for them to get to know you than for you to design your own
museum!

Your museum should include the following components:
•	Timeline
•	Photographs
•	Artifacts

Timeline: Your timeline should include at least five important events. You
may have a picture of the event or draw your own illustration.

Photographs: You should include at least 4 photographs of yourself.
Examples might include a picture of your family, a pet, your home, playing a
sport, a favorite park or vacation spot, etc.

Artifacts: Artifacts are things that social scientists can look at to learn
about a person. We’ve already brainstormed ideas about artifacts you might
like to include in your museum exhibit. These items may be displayed on a
board or just as part of your display. Examples of artifacts include
favorite toys, a trophy, empty boxes from a favorite food, baby blanket,
dance shoes, or a school project completed in another grade.

Artifacts should come from each of the following time periods.

•	Baby/toddler years (Ages 0 - 2)
•	Preschool Period (Ages 3 - 6)
•	Early childhood (Ages 7 – 9)
•	Present (Ages 10 – now)

Projects should be turned in to your homeroom teacher Tuesday, August 18th.
You may even bring it in on Monday, August 17th. Projects will be displayed
in your homeroom for PTSA on Tuesday evening.

Grading Rubric:

Component	Possible Points	Your Points
Title	10
Timeline with 5 Events	30
4 Artifacts	20
4 Photographs	20
Overall Presentation	10
Completed on time	10
Total Points	100
