There are two main goals for Vance Middle School:
Goal I. Students will achieve world class academic standards in all
areas.
Goal II. All students and school personnel will have a teaching and
learning environment that is safe and conducive to student
achievement.
The following goals have been met by Vance Middle School and remain
an important emphasis within our school:
- The attendance rate of 94% in 2001 and 2002 and 93.9 in 2003
exceeded state and school board standards. The attendance rate for
last year (2004) fell to 92.5%. The average for 2005 and 2006 met the
state goal.
- The promotion rate of 99+% in 2007 exceeds state and school board
standards.
- Algebra Gateway passing rate of 100% in 2007 exceeds state
standards.
- Vance Middle School enjoys a high degree of parent involvement and
will continue to value and encourage this partnership.
