| Bring shoes to class each day! We are working on our push-ups and crunches.
We will be at 12 at Christmas. That's 120 of each one. After christmas we
will begin to add running to our agenda. We will start out at 3 laps around
the gym and add 1 lap every 3 weeks. By the end of school, we will be
running 10 laps without stopping. ( That is our goal )
Games we play are volleyball, wiffleball (softball), basketball,
kickball, spud, battleball, etc. Team building games are very important and
are thrown in. Trying to do your best is stressed everyday in gym.
RULES:
1. A student must have clean shoes and participate with a good attitude
participating in activities.
2. If a student does not have clean shoes, he or she must stand on the
wall for the entire class. Maybe next time they will remember which days
they have gym.
3. There is no need to write a note for a student that is hurt. I trust
the students to tell me if their is something wrong. But, if this is the
students third or fourth time of being sick without a doctor's note, then
they will have those points taken off. If a student for the first or second
time isn't feeling well, they will be required to help the teacher be a
referee and try to help out as much as possible. This way they are earning
their gym grade for the day.
4. There are 10 days at progress reports (10 points each day)and 20 times
reported to class at the 9 week period. (5 points each day)
5. Students may receive more points off their grade for smarting off and
not following gym rules.
The teachers name is Lyndell Goldston. He has been teaching for 11 years at
different levels of education. He received his B.S. degree from David
Lipscomb University and M.S. degree from Cumberland University. I was named
the pinto bean eatting champion of Morgan county 3 years running. I am
honored to be teaching here at Central Middle School in Wartburg. The
students have a real down to earth personality about themselves.
