Does my child have homework?
I rarely assign homework. I tell the kids,"Quality, rather than quantity!"
By this I'm telling them that it is more important to me, and more effective
for students, to perform skills correctly in manageable chunks. Instead of
being overwhelmed by the size of an assignment, I want my students to focus
on all aspects of an assignment - even the small details - and be successful.

How can I see my child's progress?
Each student has three folders designated for Language Arts. Your child's
work is organized in this folder during each nine weeks. At the end of each
nine weeks, the students clean out their folders and are encouraged to take
work home and share it with parents.
