I have fourteen years teaching experience. My career began as a teacher
at Camp E-Sun-Alee, a wilderness therapeutic setting for kids, ages 8 - 17,
with emotional issues, or criminal records.
In 1995, I transferred to Central High School and taught for two years,
until my children began school at Sunbright. At Sunbright I taught 3rd
grade, two years of junior high, and then several years as the K-5 Resource
teacher.
I have been active in our school system in various ways. I was site
project director for Rural School and Community Trust for three years. This
allowed me to provide our students with rare opportunities. I was also an
assistant coach for the high school men & women's basketball teams.
Currently I co-lead our Central Middle School outdoor club.
Our class mission is to become self-sufficient lifelong learners who are
capable and effective speakers, writers,
and readers.
