| *Map It Out! OR Coordinate Plane Design*
The extra credit offered for this nine weeks is a choice of Map It Out! or
Coordinate Plane Design. The details for both choices are listed below.
Either extra credit opportunity is due Friday, March 7 (NONE will be accepted
late). Either choice will replace your lowest grade.
*Map It Out!*
Draw a map of your bedroom (or another room in your home). The map should
include at least 5 items/locations. The map should be drawn accurately to a
scale you decide upon. For example, you might choose 2 in. = 1 ft. Adding
color to your map will improve your score. Included with each map should be
the scale and a listing of the actual sizes of the items/locations included
on your map. For example, if your bed is included in your map, you should
list the bed and its actual measurements.
*Coordinate Plane Design*
On a sheet of graph paper (you can get one from me), plot points to create a
design (a car, for example). Each design should consist of at least 8
points. Label each point (ex. A, B, C...). Connect the points. On a
separate sheet of paper, list the points with their correct ordered pairs.
For example, point A: (2,3). You must turn in the design AND the list of
points w/ their correct ordered pairs to earn any extra credit.
*If you have any questions about either opportunity, you can ask me in
class.
