We are focusing a lot on fluency and comprehension.  Fluency is the ability 
to read accurately, automatically and with meaningful expression.  We are 
doing lots of timed readings and repeated readings.  Comprehension is the 
ability to grasp something mentally and the capacity to understand ideas and 
facts.  We are making connections, creating mental images, and inferring as 
we read.  These strategies will help us with comprehension.
