The number one reason I became a school counselor was to be in a position where I can help a child with a problem, concern, or a dilemma they might be having. Luckily, I have very supportive administration that recognizes this and allows me to meet with our students as much as I need to in order to meet their needs. With that said, I am proud to say that I am able to meet with our students individually on a daily basis to provide counseling services. In addition, I also provide group counseling on a weekly basis (usually Fridays). If you would like to discuss your child's needs with me, or you would like your child to visit with me, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time and we can get this started. Due to confidentiality laws, I am not able to discuss with you the conversations I have with our students unless they are: 1. A threat to themselves 2. A threat to someone else 3. Someone else is threatening to them Only in one of those situations am I allowed to break confidentiality. However, I am very willing and capable of working with both the student and the parent to work out whatever situation there might be. I encourage you to contact me with any concerns you might have, and we can work together to help your child.
