Week of December 7 and 14

Monday

~Spelling:  (Unit 3, Week 4--One Consonant or Two?) Write words 3 x each and 
          "Pick 10"

~Science:  ALL Blocks:  "My Weight on Other Planets" sheet due.  If you did 
          the Extra Credit, it's due tomorrow also.

If you did not pass last week's Science Test, you must get a parent
         signature.  If you REALLY failed, you must rewrite each missed  
          question on notebook paper and make corrections to each.  (Notes are
          written on your test if you need to do these things.)

Block 1:  Read textbook pages 196-204 and complete WB p. 68-69.
          (We completed definitions on p. 196 in class.)
          
          Blocks 2 and 3:  Write vocabulary definitions for words on p. 196
          and complete WB p. 70.

~Reading:  Complete WB pages 79 & 80 (Textbooks and Tradebooks)

~English:  WB p. 18-19 (Nouns)

Tuesday

Take Home Folders went home today.  In there is the Christmas Party 
information.  Please give these to your parents!

~Spelling:  WB p. 54 and ABC Order

~Science:  Block I:  Use your notes and book to compose 10 fabulous questions
          for reviewing CHAPTER ONE--yes, ONE.  :)  Write on notebook paper.

Block II:  Read p. 200-204 (We did 196-199 in class.)  WB p. 68 & 69

Block III:  Read p. 198-204 (We did 196-197.)  WB. p. 68 & 69

~Reading:  TEST on "The Chi-l'in Purse"  Use your Study Guide!

~English:  WB p. 21 (Common and Proper Nouns)

Wednesday

Our Christmas Party is Friday, December 18:  Please bring in your $3 for 
pizza by this Friday, if possible.  We also need more breakfast items, so if 
your mom makes a really wonderful breakfast item, ask her to sign-up to bring 
it in that morning.

All parents are invited to spend all day on the 18th with us.  If you plan to 
eat pizza with us, please send in $3 for yourself as well.

~Spelling:  WB p. 55

~Science:  Block I:  Create review questions for Chapter 2 just like you did
          last night for the other chapter.  We will rewrite them tomorrow in
          class.

Block II:  WB p. 71

Block III:  WB p. 71

~English:  (Plural Nouns)  WB p. 20

Thursday

If possible, please send in the $3 for pizza tomorrow in an envelope with 
your child's name on it.  If parents are attending, they'll need to pay the 
$3, too.

~Spelling:  WB p. 56 and TEST on Unit 3, Week 4

~Science:  Block I:  No homework tonight, unless you're doing make-up work

Blocks II and III:  Vocabulary Definitions on p. 210 and any make-up
          work.

All missing assignments must be turned in by next Thursday!

Week of December 14

Monday

Take Home Folders went home today.  Please get signed and bring back tomorrow.

Friday is our All  Day Christmas Party.  Please bring in $3 for your pizza 
lunch, if you've not already.  Parents are welcome all day!

~Spelling:  Finish the "Words in a Word" and "Scrambled Christmas" worksheets.

~Science:  No Homework  :)

~Reading:  We are reading "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere," this week, but 
          there will be no homework with it.
