I always knew that I wanted to enter the field of education and become
a teacher. My parents were both teachers. I attended MTSU and have been
married for 30 Years. My husband attended Mt. Juliet High School in the
1970's. He has lived in Mt. Juliet for 50 years.
My daughter graduated in 2008 from Wilson Central High School, and
she is in college in Murfreesboro to enter the field of...... education!
She wants to be a CDC teacher for special needs children.
I enjoy reading, crocheting, and I love college football.
My minor in college was Music. I was in the Nashville Symphony Chorus
in the 1980's and 1990's. I was also a member of the Nashville Opera
Chorus and performed in a number of Operas in the 1990's at TPAC. (Chorus,
not Solo!)
I hope to encourage a love of learning, but at the same time continue to
develop a sense of responsibility which enhances a child's self esteem.
When a child learns to be independent and self reliant, he/she feels better
about themselves and can accomplish many great things as an adult.
I believe in a great relationship between parents and teachers. Your
child is very important to me, and you are ALWAYS welcome in our classroom
at any time. Please let me know if you ever have any questions. I am
very anxious to get to know each and every one of you, and I begin this
year with enthusiasm for teaching and for encouraging a love of learning!
