Helpful ideas to study words. If your child likes to sing you can spell
words to music-

3 letter words - Three Blind Mice, Are You Sleeping? (c-a-n -can)

4 letter words - Jimmy Crack Corn, YMCA

5 letter words - You Are My Sunshine; Row, Row Row Your Boat, B-I-N-G-O
(There was a class that learned to spell and this is what they sang-o,
- - - - -)

6 letter words - The Farmer in the Dell, Happy Birthday to You

7 letter words - Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

8 letter words - We Wish You a Merry Christmas, For He's a Jolly Good Fellow

9 letter words - I'm a Little Teapot

Some children like flash cards they have made. Purchase index cards for
them to write on. One word per card. (can use the backs for next weeks
words) You can put these up in their room or family room. Change them out
each week with the new words. They will have a big stack of words they can
spell in no time at all.
