I am a hometown girl. I have lived in Tennessee all my life and love it here! There is just something about those Smoky Mountains that keep me here! I married my high school sweetheart and we have now been married for almost six years. I received my teaching licensce from Marvyville College in May of 2005. I have worked here at West Valley since fall 2005. I have now taught science on team 6-1 for three years. I  love West Valley and all the activities that we offer our students. I coach volleyball in the fall. I am also currently enrolled at Lincoln Memorial University working on a Master's in educational administration and supervision.

I am very active in my community and local church! I love to scrapbook, hike, play all sports, work with children, read, and go on mission trips. I have been out of the country five times for different mission trips! I love the Lord and love to serve other people! I am very talkative and outgoing!

As far as teaching, I love to do hands-on activities. We also do a lot of projects and use art in many of those projects. I think it is important for the students to have an outlet to express themselves, even in the academic subjects. I always think we can learn more through what is done, not what I say!
